Legacy Creators: Ensuring A Home Forever

We Provide Compassionate, Lifelong, Residential Care

Noah Homes is a growing family of ten homes and 90 adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities such as Down syndrome and autism. For many of our residents, we are the only family they have. As people with disabilities face new health challenges and changing family dynamics, we are here to make sure they continue to receive the care they need in a lifelong home they deserve.

As a nonprofit of 35 years, Noah Homes is innovating residential care, advocacy, and collaborative services. In partnership with schools, local businesses, community organizations, and policy makers, we are committed to maximizing each individual’s lifelong independence in a community environment that fosters dignity and respect, as well as personal and spiritual growth.

With the successful completion of two of the first Memory Care Homes in the nation specific to our population, we can turn our attention fully to sustaining the future of Noah Homes for adults of all ages. As an Affinity Choice Community, we are exploring new potential funding sources for housing and care, advocating at the state and national level, and packaging best practices to share with others. These initiatives will better support our folks and many more to come. Of course, none of this would be possible without people like you.

CONSIDER THESE QUESTIONS:

  1. Have you considered creative ways to give that involve your estate plan?

  2. Did you know you could consolidate all your regular donations for the next 5 years and take the entire tax deduction this year?

  3. If you own real estate, you probably know you will have to pay nearly 25% tax when selling the property. Would you like to hear about how you can avoid that 25% tax by committing to a 10% gift at the end of your lifetime?

  4. Did you know that you can give your Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs) directly to Noah Homes, avoid the income tax, and get a tax deduction for the gift?

  5. Are you aware that key financial tools (ie. 401(k), IRA, Life Insurance, etc.) are critical to your safeguarding your future? And they can be excellent tools to use in your charitable giving too?

  6. Would you like to learn how to pass on your philanthropic passion to your children and grandchildren?

If any of these topics are of interest to you, or you have further questions, please contact Mary Bones at mbones@noahhomes.org or (619) 660-6200 x121.  Mary will be happy to work with you to reach your goals.

 CHARITABLE PLANNING Strategy

For an overview on charitable planning, take a minute to watch the presentation below.

A planned gift to Noah Homes helps precious people like Scotty (pictured below) and his sister Christy. They have lived at Noah Homes for 19 years and are two of many residents who no longer have family. Despite being non-ambulatory, Scotty and Christy are able to live full lives and thrive thanks to the love of staff and volunteers, and the financial support from our community.

There are some unique and specialized ways you can help.  We are proven financial stewards and are committed to making sure your investment will have a lasting impact. Be a Legacy Creator and ensure the most vulnerable among us have a lifelong home.
