Leonard serves as part of a volunteer team dedicated to assisting UB alumni and friends. Leonard is a Charitable Planning Specialist who has been involved with philanthropic organizations in a personal and professional capacity for over 20 years.
University of Baltimore Foundation will provide you with the unique opportunity to strategize with their team, and a knowledgeable professional in the field, Leonard Raskin, to maximize the efficiency of your charitable giving.
They will work with you to envision a superior financial future, then help you, step by step, build towards that future. They do this by showing you a clear picture of where you are today and listening to your concerns for tomorrow, to meet all of your financial goals. This includes retirement income, the inheritance you will leave behind, and the legacy you leave to the UB Foundation.
By recognizing your desires and spotting the things that must change, they can help you build financial wealth as you create richer lives for yourselves and your families.
Helping people design Smart Strategies for their Whole Life is the mission of Raskin Global. The core principle of his practice – to provide people with economically sound strategic financial advice; to serve as the advocate of their financial future – has proved a solid strategy.
Leonard has an awesome ability to sensibly combine a macro perspective, the finer numeric detail of a person’s unique financial circumstances and their hopes and dreams for the future. This, along with a superior memory and masterful knowledge of relevant laws, policies and regulations, make him one of the region’s elite Personal Financial Planning practitioners.
Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, he now lives just 20 minutes from his childhood home. Leonard married Kathy (Uhlan) in February 1994. Kathy, originally from Rising Sun, Maryland, is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). They currently reside in Phoenix, Maryland with their son, Matthew, born in April 2002.
A graduate of the University of Baltimore in 1986, Leonard earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance while working his way through college. He began his career in January 1987. Leonard earned his Masters in Financial Services from The American College, along with achieving his CFP®, CAP, ChFC, CLU and CASL designations in 2007. He was the first student ever at the college to obtain his Masters Degree and five professional designations in one year in the 80 year history of the College.
“People who named charities in their wills gave more than twice as much annually than those who did not.”
